Privacy Policy

Last updated 30 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information KNVI Labs Private Limited (“KNVI Labs”, “we”, “us”) collects through knvilabs.com, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the rights you have. It covers this website and the inquiries you send through it.

When we run KATHN or other services for a client, such as calling or messaging that client’s attendees, the client decides how that information is used and we act on their instructions under our agreement with them. Questions about that processing should go to the event organizer.

Who We Are

KNVI Labs Private Limited is responsible for your personal information collected through this website (the “controller” under the GDPR and the “data fiduciary” under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act). You can reach us at hello@knvilabs.com or +1 (740) 530-8991. The same contact handles privacy questions, requests and grievances.

What We Collect

Information you give us

  • Contact form: your name, email, company, phone number (optional), the topic you choose, your message, and whether you agreed to receive marketing updates.
  • Consultation form on our articles: your name, email, company, your message and the article you were reading.
  • AI readiness assessment: your answers and score. If you unlock the full report, also your name, email and company.
  • Email and phone: what you tell us when you write or call. Our phone line is forwarded through a telephony provider, which processes your number and call details.

Name, email and company are required to send a form, because we need them to reply. Everything else is optional. If you don’t provide the required details, we can’t respond to your request through the form, but you can still email or call us.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: the pages you visit, how far you scroll, the links and buttons you click, the site that referred you, campaign tags in the link (such as UTM parameters), your browser and device type, and your approximate location (city or country, from your IP address).
  • Session recordings: if you accept statistics cookies, Microsoft Clarity records how you move, click and scroll, with form fields masked, so we can find and fix problems with the site.
  • IP address: used briefly to limit repeated form submissions and protect the site from spam and abuse.

We don’t collect sensitive information (such as health, financial account or government ID details) through this website, and we ask you not to include it in messages.

Why We Use It and Our Legal Basis

  • Replying to your inquiry, arranging a call, sending your assessment report: steps you ask us to take before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries.
  • Keeping a record of our conversations in our CRM: our legitimate interest in managing business relationships.
  • Sending marketing updates: your consent, given by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
  • Analytics and session recordings: your consent, given in the cookie banner. Without it, these tools don’t set cookies or record sessions.
  • Keeping the site secure and preventing spam: our legitimate interest in protecting our site and users.
  • Meeting legal obligations: where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.

Where we rely on legitimate interest, we have weighed it against your rights. You can object at any time (see Your Rights).

The AI readiness score is calculated automatically from your answers to show where you stand. It isn’t used to make any decision about you with legal or similarly significant effects, and a person reviews any follow-up.

Cookies and Analytics

Our cookie banner asks for your choice when you first visit. You can change it any time with Cookie Settings at the bottom of every page.

  • Functional: needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice. Always on.
  • Statistics: Google Analytics (loaded through Google Tag Manager), Microsoft Clarity and StatCounter, to measure visits and improve the site. Only after you accept. Before that, Google receives cookieless signals without identifiers (Google Consent Mode).
  • Marketing: we don’t currently use advertising cookies. If we start, they will run only with your consent.

Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat it as a refusal of statistics and marketing cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Who We Share It With

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers that process it for us, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only on our instructions:

  • Zoho (CRM and email), where form submissions are stored as leads and notifications are delivered to our team
  • Hostinger, which hosts this website
  • Google (Tag Manager and Analytics), Microsoft (Clarity) and StatCounter, for site analytics, with your consent
  • Complianz, the consent tool that shows the cookie banner and records your choice on our site
  • our telephony provider, if you call us

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights, users or the public, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

International Transfers

Our team works from India and the United States, and our providers process data in several countries, including the United States, India and the European Union. When information leaves the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another country that restricts transfers, we rely on the safeguards the law provides, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, the UK addendum or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified. You can ask us for details of these safeguards.

How Long We Keep It

  • Inquiries and leads: while we have an active conversation or business relationship with you, and for up to three years after our last contact, then deleted.
  • Marketing consent: until you withdraw it, plus a record that you did, so we don’t contact you again.
  • Google Analytics data: 14 months. Microsoft Clarity recordings: up to 30 days, with aggregated heatmaps kept longer. Spam-protection records of IP addresses: one hour.
  • Your cookie choice: stored in your browser for 12 months, then the banner asks again.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it
  • correct or update it
  • delete it
  • object to or restrict how we use it, including for direct marketing
  • receive it in a portable format
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what was done before
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we don’t sell or share it)
  • nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to (India)
  • not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights

To exercise a right, email hello@knvilabs.com or call +1 (740) 530-8991. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request, by replying from the email address we hold. You can use an authorized agent; we’ll ask for proof that they act for you. We reply within 30 days (45 days where California law allows, and we’ll tell you if we need longer).

If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to your data protection authority, for example a supervisory authority in the EU, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, the UAE Data Office, the Data Protection Board of India, or the California Privacy Protection Agency. We’d appreciate the chance to resolve it with you first.

California Notice at Collection

In the past 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email, phone number, IP address); professional information (company); internet and electronic network activity (pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, session recordings with consent); approximate geolocation; and the contents of messages you send us. We collect them from you, your browser and device, and the services listed above, for the purposes described in this policy, and keep them for the periods above. We don’t collect sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you, and we don’t knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on the systems that store it, and providers that meet recognized security standards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we’ll tell you and the relevant authorities about a breach where the law requires it.

Children

This site is for businesses and professionals. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Links to Other Sites

Our site links to other websites, such as LinkedIn and the sources we cite. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our site and services change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. If a change materially affects how we use information you’ve already given us, we’ll ask for your consent where the law requires it.

For any question, request or grievance about your personal information, contact KNVI Labs Private Limited at hello@knvilabs.com or +1 (740) 530-8991, or use our contact page (choose “Something else” and mention “Privacy”).
